Nesting... and my next project

Wendy (Marc's sister) is due on the 15th. Her first was 4 days early and her second was 5 days early so in her mathematical brain this baby was going to come six days early which was the 10th and today the 12th still no baby! On Thursday we went over to try and help her get some last minute touches done on her home, try being the key word I feel like we do not get much accomplished with added two kids and probably leave her house messier than when we showed up but... Wendy is extremely organized and you always want to have things done before you have baby and they have been in their new house a little over a year so decorating a little were some things on her list. She has just made two baby quilts one for a boy one for a girl (cause they don't find out)! and we had bought a ton of fruit fabric at some great sale about 2 or 3 years ago with intentions on making a beautiful quilt that never got done. So anyway she was trying to decide what type of tablecloth or place mats to put on her table and I remembered I saw a quilt on some lady's table and thought it was so cute! SO of course she pulled her fabric out went through our patterns picked one out and did the math to make it smaller squares and made this beautiful tablecloth! We placed a clear vinyl piece over so she wasn't removing it or washing it every day and then found a white pitcher and we stuffed these beautiful fake flowers in that she found at Michael's! The whole kitchen looks so good! Above her cupboards she has space before her ceiling so she bought all these cute old fashioned candy jars at hobby lobby and filled them with fake fruit. Very cute! Lucky for me she had a lot of the big squares left with the apples pears and oranges on them and she already did the math for me to make one for my kitchen table! I know how much fabric to buy and how many different colors to get! I really should try to do the math myself but she is just so good!

If I turn around from looking at the kitchen you are facing the family room and there is a huge wall that she decorated so cutely! And the colors all go together! In the three small square frames we put left over solid fabric pieces and the votive candle holders were the same bright colors. The empty frame is going to be for the new baby! Wendy is so detail oriented I tend to just throw everything together even her plant is real!
